HISTORY. That Wednesday had been very busy and before we left for A.W.A.N.A. I had, literally, five minutes with nothing pressing to do. I walked toward the office to straighten up, but the piano caught my eye. I hadn't had a chance to play all week, so sat down, without music, to play some chords. As I did, the tune and words for the first verse filled my heart and broke through to my mind.

I walked into the kitchen, jotted down the words, then went back to the piano and wrote in the chords. Then we were off to A.W.A.N.A.

When we got home, our tax accountant was here, so we did that. Then there were other things to do. But later that evening I had a moment and thought of the song. I sat down with the notebook and within 30 minutes, it was done.

Since then, countless prayers have been offered regarding this song and its content: we NEED to pray!
