Need a
Helping Hand?

I Highly Recommend These Experts/Resources!

In addition to my family, friends and employees, I have online mentors and favorite authors whose wisdom and insights have changed my mind and saved me from many wasted hours. I'm including here just my very favorite experts and resources. My goal is to help you find the help you need ASAP so you can keep moving toward your own goals.

Some of these resources are free, but most are books, training packages, membership sites or coaches. I recommend each as a good investment, but do not offer any type of guarantee, as each has their own customer service set-ups and refund policies.

If you just have a quick clarifying question, book a per-minute coaching session with me HERE. But if you need extra support, I recommend the following.

Appointment & Booking System. Jan Faber built this customizable system to do exactly what you need done. It's used by governments, hospitals, beauiticians and even me.
Marketing: Online Shopping Cart. I have used 1shoppingcart for 8 years. Great customer service, highly configurable, never down, etc. If you need one, try this one.
Attracting Corporate Sponsors. Linda Hollander is the best person I can recommend if you need someone to help you attract corporate sponsors. She'll walk you through it A-Z, for a fee, and if you do your part, it'lll be worth every penny.
Media Placement: Results Based. I have known Annie Jennings for about six years and have learned bucket-loads from this woman! If you are ever going to hire-out your promo, pick Annie!
Author Support: Marnie's Help Page on Getting Published. If you can't figure out how to get your book published, this page full of answers and options may be just the thing you need..
Media Training: Radio Interviews. Wayne Kelly is a morning radio talk show host himself and the absolute best trainer I know if you want to learn how to get booked (and do a great job on) radio shows. Highly recommended.
Author Support: Best Seller Book Launch Strategy. Marnie Pehrson is an amazing woman who offers so much, but her book launch strategy is the best!
Media Training: TV & Beyond. Susan Harrow is a pro at taking you from where you are to your media-ready self. If you need help with everything, tap into Susan's stuff!
Author Support: Getting Into Bookstores. Elaine Wilkes provides a briliant and doable step-by-step marketing training to help authors get their books into stores.
Mission & Vision Training. Laurie Beth Jone's book, The Path, is my all time #1 recommendation if you are still a bit confused about your purpose in life. Awesome book!
Author Support: Self Publishing. Dan Poynter is a super nice guy who has self-published over 75 books and come up with a system to help you get yours into print.
New Business: Set Up Legalities. Dave & I own, what, 8 businesses? I get all the entities, but I find them boring. Please get advice from these awesome people!!

Press Releases: Business. Dan Janal's system works. If you don't have time to make hundreds of personal calls, but need to get the word out now, hire Dan to put out your release.
Coach Certification: Success Training with Marnie. This unique mentorship program provides a way for leaders to tap into Biblical Success Principles so they can share them with others.
Press Releases: Christian. Simple, straightforward, effective way to get your news out to the Christian media. Nice people here!
Connect with God. This is my own book on the topic, because people are always asking me about my "unique" relationship with God. Enjoy!
Restaurant Ownership: General. I don't have a great resource to teach you how to set up a restaurant, but Bill Marvin is who taught me how to treat customers for success.
Customer Service Training. Again my own program, this is the training I give my teams and the training I believe can make a difference for your customer service team as well.
Retail Store Management: Variety Store. In this book, which came into our lives at just the right time, David Green spills the beans about retail store ownership, in detail. Great!
Fear: Conquer Yours. Lisa Jimenez has a great way of putting fear in its proper place. If you struggle with fear, stop everything and take this training before fear robs you of another dream!
Social Networking Training. Since writing this eBook, I have received countless "thank yous", from super busy people who are growing their social networks, in 15 minutes a day.
Goal Setting: Brian Tracy. Brian Tracy is a legend, a great guy and one of my heros. If you are still struggling with goals - how to set them, achieve them, balance them, then take this training.
Speaking Connections: Christian Women. Launched in 2001, this is now the largest online directory of Christian Women Speakers in the world. If you speak, be there!
Kitchen Shortcuts. This perennial favorite has changed the way women do food. If you're ready to serve great, homecooked meals. in the minutes you have, check it out!
Speaker News & Training. Many of the articles and training ops available through this site are fantastic. I don't work with these folks directly, but know I love their site!
Laws of Success: Leslie Householder. If you are unfamiliar with the Laws of Success, let the beautiful, gracious, Leslie explain them to you. Her 12-week program changed my thinking!
Speaker Training & Connections: Business. If you want engagements in the business sector, this is the site I recommend you join. Brian and his team are A#1.
Laws of Success: Bob Proctor. Leslie (above) claims that much of what she teaches she learned from Bob. However, this particular training comes at it from another, important angle.
Speaker One Sheets. Karen Saunders is the one-sheet queen, in my book. She will take what you've got and give it the professional touch. Truly beautiful work.
Marketing: Go Mobile. When you are ready to learn about mobile marketing, this is the training I took and can recommend. It's spendy, but it's cutting edge, so it would be.
Time Management: Tim Ferris. I have practiced "4 Hour Work Week" principles for years. Not all of them, of course, and I don't agree with everything, but, what a great book!
Marketing: Article Marketing. I use and recommend eZine Articles. As I type, my 33 articles have been viewed over 100,000 times and have driven countless buyers to my sites. It's free.
Time Management: Marnie-Style. I've been giving away my time management training course for years and some of my mentees go through it annually, just to stay on track.
Marketing: Squeeze Pages. If you think I have a lot of ideas, Jason Fladlien makes me look boring! This guy is amazing and this particular training is priceless.
Video Creation Tool. If you enjoy the videos at Marnie.com, you'll love what Animoto can do for you -- fast and for cheap!

Disclaimer: No one got onto this page by asking to be here. They are here because they're my real-life favorites. Whether the people or resources above have an affiliate program or not is irrelevant to their inclusion in my list. I listed them because they are the best in their field. However, if they do have an affiliate program, I'm a partner! This is just another income-generating strategy that you, too, should consider. 1) When you find a product or service that is "the best," from your perspective, and 2) you're going to tell people about it no matter what, then 3) check to see if they offer an affiliate program. If they do, you can, in all good conscience, get involved and actually earn some residual income.

As an aside, I have the type of outgoing personality that is forever being invited to join multi-level marketing and every other imaginable business opportunity. It's always a challenge to decide if a particular set-up is ideal for one personally, but I additionally struggled because some of them felt, well, wrong. As I was exposed to more and more, I came up with a system that's helped me identify which to consider and which to bypass immediately. Here's my litmus test: If I believe the investment (in the product, service, whatever) is great, even without the possibility of me ever getting paid by anyone to use it, then the offer is legit. But, if I'm only interested because of the residual income, I step into "scam-search" mode.
