Campaign on Behalf of Missionary Evangelistic Fellowship Board

1/1/2020

MEF Board & Ministry Campaign
Khammam, Telengana State, India, 2017
Rev. PC John Mark, President

Partner with Mission Evangelistic Fellowship (MEF) to express love and support to the leadership team of the Asian School of Evangelism (ASE) and its host organization, Christian Service Unit (CSU). Prepare and present biblical training programs for 23 ministry locations including 9 churches, an HIV center, hospital, and women’s and pastor’s conferences (with representatives from over 100 villages), and more. Increase ministry awareness and collaborations between 43 national and international ministries.

Goals:
  • Provide a physical representation of the U.S. based MEF board to encourage, support, and bless the ASE leadership, students and program in Khamman, led by ASE alumni, Rev. PC John Mark.
  • Teach in the ASE to provide global perspective and show U.S. support of the school, teachers, and students.
  • Join John Mark and his team on routine and specially planned programs to grow awareness, interest, and participation in the ministries by attracting non-churched villagers for special events.
  • Maximize the annual Alumni Conference as an opportunity to encourage greater attendance due to guest speakers/supporters from U.S.
  • Add a Women’s Conference as a catalyst for ministry encouragement and expansion, plus new collaborations between attendees.
  • Provide leadership mentoring and training to ASE and CSU staff.
  • Take opportunity funds to invest while on-premise and report back to the MEF Board on the financial needs of the ministry.
  • Scale across metro, city, village and tribal participants to inspire increased faith in God and collaborative partnerships.
  • S.W.O.T. Report to the MEF Board.
Strategy:
  • Start at the home office, then branch out to 2-4 site visits per day, each including presentations on godly life principles.
  • Host the Women’s Conference early to generate word-of-mouth chatter back to the villages about the quality of the teaching.
  • Provide interaction at each location that would connect with lay Christians and guest God-seekers.
  • Teach very basic biblical concepts during each general session due to the many illiterate attendees, but also include meat for the CSU team, pastors, and students.
  • Provide a separate leadership training program for the CSU and ASE leaders and advanced-level attendees.
  • Ask a lot of questions. Humbly pursue every opportunity to sow perspective,  skills, or ideas into the ministry.
Outcome:
  • Developed interactive relationships with many members of the ASE and CSU team members.
  • Designed and delivered 23 individual programs through interpreters in 12 days, navigating multiple audience-types from poor feeding stations and leprosy colonies to leadership events.
  • Attracted and ministered to ministry leaders from over 100 villages and tribes.
  • Exceeded event targets by igniting excitement among attendees. (e.g. – Women’s Event goal was 80; 120 attended. Pastor’s/Alumni Conf first estimates were 60-80; 120 attended.)
  • Provided a morning session and prayer time with indigenous tribal missionaries with Indian Evangelical Mission (IEM).
  • Delivered both anticipated and impromptu programs as needed, based on expressed and intuited needs.
  • Worked one-on-one with CSU marketing manager brainstorming, ideating, and hands-on computer training.
Tactics:
  • Commitment for in-and-out involvement: Train and equip local leaders and followers to train others, and then leave without the need for substantial additional involvement.
  • Invest extra time and training into the top leaders to insure they can continue to move the relationships, training and programs forward upon our departure.
  • Extensively engage storytelling and audience participation to ensure that stakeholder training objectives were met.
  • Leave behind audio, video and print training aids to ensure
    • implementation of new skill sets,
    • review of the original content in context, and
    • ability to share content with more audiences.
  • Strategize with leaders, pray, plan and release.
  • Follow-up with online and phone meetings as needed.
