This "EGG" diagram helped me understand where "terrible" thoughts come from and how to be sure THAT thought doesn't get to come back up in me again. I hope this little diagram helps you understand the beautiful "cleaning system" God has built into our psyches. Why stay poluted when we can be free?!
James 1:2-4 encourages us to count it all joy when we get “stirred up” by troublesome thoughts or situations because the “testing” of our faith produces good stuff. II Corinthians 10:5 instructs us to take every thought captive “to the obedience of Christ.”
